I just upgraded an new XP build to Vista. Everything is working except for the display. I can see my BIOS and the pre-booting Vista screen. When Vista actually comes up, the screen goes black. I was able to plug a monitor in the back so I can actually work on it. I tried every graphics setting and then tried my FN + F4 to get my laptop display to come back but no dice. The display driver is installed correctly. It's like it doesn't recognize my laptop screen as a possible display. Did anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a work around so I can take my laptop outside the house? Thanks, Mike

Mikey,
I'm having the same problem. My external display works fine but my laptop monitor doesn't display anything but the vista loading progress bar.
Did you have any luck? Please let me know what you found.
